Usability participants

Simply Accessible conducts user research. After you join our panel of participants, we securely store information you provide to us. This includes information about yourself, your general habits and technology preferences, and we manage this information according to the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Simply Accessible only uses this information to determine if you’re a match for an upcoming study. When you’re a match for a study or survey, you always have the option to join, opt out or not participate.

To conduct remote research, Simply Accessible uses software to record screens, audio and video with your consent. This software collects, processes and uses your information in order to carry out its contractual relationship with you, including but not limited to establishing connections via the Internet. Your information will not be used for any other purpose, including advertising, without your prior consent. The software may automatically collect personal information in order to offer you this service, including providing you with and improving software updates, support, content, and other services. After any session, you may remove the software.

Simply Accessible analyzes the screen recordings, audio and video from sessions. We may share the video with our clients and staff to show them what worked and what didn’t work. It is never for publicity or promotion. Anonymized portions of screen recordings, audio and video may be used in our workshops or conference presentations only with your express consent.

As a participant, your personal contact information is not shared with our clients or any other third party.
